Introduction

Postby DOWNBEAT » Tue Dec 27, 2011 5:21 pm

I started playing guitar when I was 8 yrs old. By the time I was in High school we started a small band playing some of the local dances and pubs. This was in 1963. I always wanted a Mosrite but could not afford one back then and they were not easily found. I bought a Fender Jazzmaster and still have this guitar. About 5 years ago I was telling my son about the Mosrite guitar that I always wanted. I found out that there were Mosrite fans all around the world. I searched Ebay and found a MOSRITE COMBO s/n H0347. I bought the guitar. When it arrived I was afraid it would not be like the guitar I remembered nearly 50 years ago. I love it. has the same great sound and neck action I remembered.
At 63 years old my fingers are MUCH slower but I still enjoy sitting down and strumming for a while. Love my Mosrite.

Mike

Welcome to the Forum :D I'm happy that you finally scored a Mosrite and even happier that you were not disappointed with it!! Sometimes things are just not as good as we remember it. Glad the Mosrite was just as great as remembered.

Welcome to the forum, Mike! Many of us were like you - always wanting a Mosrite, but only in later years able to get one. Still love 'em, though. Enjoy the forum!
