Hi,
I live in Belgium, Europe, I play and teach guitar for a living, I played 10 years in an instrumental band called FIFTY FOOT COMBO. This started out as a surf band with a high energy and punk attitude, and evolved into a big loud soul stompin' psychedelic fuzzed out MC5-ish mayhem. Over the years I've done more mainstream stuff that was and is (yes I know : ) "Big in Belgium", but I'm more and more into experimental and improvisational music. Yes, with a Mosrite.
I am sincerely in love with Mosrite guitars, had a couple of copies over the years that were awesome to look at but not really usable for me - tuning, not comfortable,... . I finally settled with a Fillmore USA 1965 reissue, but that guitar never felt 100% right. So I sold it. Now I think I finally found the one. Can I send you some pics because I'd really want to find out if it's a real one or a copy. Has been refinished in white, the neck feels great, the pots say it's a 1965.
Kind Regards,
Rodrigo

We'd love to look at some pictures of your guitar and I believe you may get some expert opinions too.
Here's some info on posting pictures.

Welcome Mate,
good to see another Mosrite addict from the EU! And I think I own a CD from the Fifty Foot Combo
Can't wait to see the pics. Did you find one over here or in the US?

Hey,
Never thought our name (Fifty Foot Combo) and music would carry out so far...nice to hear that ! We did 3 "reunion"shows this summer and draw an incredible audience (the second night 6000) and even got extatic press coverage - where were they ten years ago you'd wonder ?
Hold on for the pics, in the meantime I took it apart and it actually has a stamp on the neck and body; nov 1965 it is. Put it back together and the action was suddenly twice as high, but that has been taken care of. And now I'm looking for a refinish in pearl white. Man o man I'm so happy with this guitar, and it sounds incredible on all my amps, with all my pedals, feels great, stays in tune, looks cool... .
Best,
R
