[MarkVII]

Greetings everyone! I'm a resident of Newcastle, California and a recent new owner of a Mark VII bass that I got from a good friend who grew up in Bakersfield, California and, who while growing up there, became a friend of Mr. Mosley who gave him this bass. Being a guitar player, my new bass lived in mty friend's closet for many years until I rescued it. My Mark VII is now one of my very favorite basses and gets lots of playing time.

I know that I'm supposed to provide a photo of my bass, but my wife and I are in Mexico on vacation, so I won't be able to take that photo until we get back to California next week. And although this is my first post as a new member, I've been reading this forum for a number of months and find it to be very informative as well as incredibly friendly and welcoming of new members like me.

I've been a guitar player for nearly 50 years and discovered basses only a few years ago and am having a blast playing and learning about them. I believe my Mosrite bass is a later model built sometime around 1973, but that's as far as my Mosrite bass knowledge extends. Hopefully, I will learn much more by reading and participating in this forum.

Thank you all for your warm welcome.

Unlike the weather on the East Coast, here in Puerto Vallarta the weather could not be better. Going boating today with good friends and enjoying Margaritas on-board and afterwards. Life is (sometimes) good!

Next week I will take some photos of my new (to me) Mark VII and share them with all of you. Then I will start learning about its history and where I might be able to find a hard-shell case that will fit.

Welcome Carlos! I have a timeshare in Nuevo Vallerto about 15 mins. from Puerto Vallarta, I love it there and met a bass player in a band @ the timeshare...he was looking for parts for his P-bass and hooked him up with internet suppliers here in the US. Have fun while you're there!
