Hello everyone at The Mosrite Forum

Postby DrCyclops » Tue Feb 26, 2013 10:53 am

I am primarily a bass player and private music instructor. Attended Berklee way back in the 70s and have been teaching, playing gigs and doing studio work ever since. I have always liked Mosrites but they were rather rare to run across. I found my first bass yesterday and bought it. Have several questions I would like to ask and also some pictures to post . Thanks to All.
p.s. Located in Southern Illinois, about 50 miles from St.Louis.

You may find something here..... the Bass section is near the end....
Please send Pictures of the whole Bass. Is it a Ventures. Think it may be a later one because of the black case...
Not sure...

Note: This is an old list. It would be nice if it were updated...

welcome to the forum--Im up in Berkeley area myself. try and post your photos so the actual photo shows not just the link and maybe the guys can help you out.
Thanks MCHOATE1 for posting the list of registered owners. I want to put together a list like that of my dad's Gruggett guitars so I can use that as a model. It will be more challenging though since they are mostly all custom and spread across the world

By the tuners, serial number and 7 screws on the pick guard, my guess would be late 1968. But that is IMHO. Nice looking in any case!
